Description: (From the foundation of the Christian Church, until the Iconoclasm) The first section includes a) the history of the development of the Catholic/Ecumenical Church's traditions, the teaching, and the holy adoration, the organistaon and the development of the ecclesiastic leadership, b) the spreading of the church in the Greco-Roman world, its ecclectic use of the Greek language and philosophy, including its adoption of aspects of Greco-Roman culture, c) the development of the Christian mission, and clarification of the Church's position with respect to the political power and the world, d) special emphasis on the role of the Ecumenical Synods and the wider ecclesiastic and Church Fathers' texts with regards to the delineation of the basic dogma of belief regarding Trinitology and Christology and Soteriology e) the failed effort at the unification of the Byzantine and Western (Catholic) Church, with a focus on the period of the Iconoclasm, and the 7th century Arab conquest in Syria, Asia Minor and North Africa which brought new historical developments in the undivided Church.
